Feast and Tweet is a virtual food and wine tasting. Invite your friends to gather around the table with you on our predetermined date. Eat some food, drink some wine, and share your thoughts on how the pairings work. Feast and Tweet is for anyone who enjoys food and wine, and wants to experiment pairing the two together.
Each Feast and Tweet will have a theme, perhaps focusing on a cuisine. To make it easy on you, we offer a suggested menu and wine pairings. You can either pick up food from your favorite take out joint or prepare your own food at home. We encourage what we call the “pair and share” approach where you invite each friend to bring a dish to pair with the wines being served that night. Alternatively, you can ask guests to bring the wine. It’s your call.
At 6:30 pm Pacific Time the fun begins! We’ll all go online via Twitter or Facebook and share our menus and wines using the hasthag #Feasts. We’ll rate the wines on their own, then we’ll taste them with food and rate them again. It’s one big food and wine experiment where we can learn from one another while bringing our friends together at the table.
